Extending
from approx 2 foot in height to approx 12 foot in height this ladder is
used for access over the wall and on and off the rock armour around the
Marine Drive
Cliff Harness
This is the harness worn by
the cliff men while descending to a casualty giving attachment to both
the main line and the safety line.
Quad Pod
This piece of equipment is
used on the cliff edge with running blocks to carry the cliff lines to
avoid the lines cutting into the cliff face.
Winch
This is our winch which is
used in cliff incidents to bring casualties back up to the cliff top on
the main line.
Stretcher
This is our stretcher which
can be folded in half and has strap attachments to enable it to be
used in helicopter operations as well as cliff recovery.
Handheld Radio
This Icom radio is the
portable handset that team members carry for communications. It is
waterproof and has a range of channels
CRV
The vehicle pictured is a
Nissan Navara which is the CRV stationed at Scarborough. Carrying up to
5 team members, the back of the
vehicle is adapted to enable the cliff rescue equipment to be carried.
