The casualty was transferred to A&E for treatment. The team remained at the landing site as R128 was immediately re-tasked to another job in Filey were a casualty had suffered a hip injury. The teams commenced a search of the North bay/Sea life centre area along with Scarborough Mountain Rescue team and Police helicopter India 55. R128 landed and the crewman was rushed to resus in A&E for treatment. the team stood down at 1325 hrs. The team arrived on scene and commenced a search with the ambulance service also in attendance. The casualty was quickly located just North of the pumping station and placed in neck blocks on a stretcher before being carried out to the ambulance. The team commenced a search and located the casualties in the Knipe Point area after losing the path with has been damaged due to coastal erosion. | 43 | 14th July | 1244 hrs | BURT | The team, along with Filey coastguards, were tasked to a report of a cliff faller at Blue Dolphin. On arrival nothing was found. When more information was received the teams relocated to Primrose Valley where an 18 year old girl was found sat on the beach becoming surrounded in water with an incoming tide. The team arrived on scene to find the crew of 2 had taken to an inflatable dinghy but had no paddles or engine. The team requested the launch of Scarborough ILB to transfer the casualties to shore. It was then established that there were actually 3 missing children from 3 separate parties. Due to this information the coastguard team requested the launch of Scarborough ILB to assist in the search. The team arrived on scene and commenced a search along with Filey Coastguards, Filey ILB, Rescue 128 and the Police. After a short while the child was located inside their tent. The teams arrived on scene to find the dog had fallen around 10 metres down a steep bank becoming stuck on a ledge. Scarborough and Whitby lifeboats were also tasked as two other yachts in that location had suffered engine failure. The casualty was transferred to A&E where he was treated for hypothermia. | 27 | 21st May | 1702 hrs | IRT | The team were tasked to look for a broken down vessel with no radio near Redcliffe. The team arrived on scene with Scarborough Lifeboat also launching. The vessel was located South of Redcliffe before being towed to Scarborough by the lifeboat. On arrival at the harbour they were given advice by the coastguard team. | 26 | 16th May | 1532 hrs | BURT | Scarborough, Burniston and Ravenscar coastguards along with Rescue 128 were tasked to a report of a dog and owner over the cliff somewhere North of Scarborough. The teams commenced a search and the casualty was located at Little Cliff, Cloughton having fallen approx 200 feet onto rocks. The casualty was airlifted to Scarborough Hospital with serious injuries. R128 then returned to the scene to recover the dog to an awaiting vet at the cliff top where it appeared to be uninjured. No further condition of the male is known. The team stood down at 1730 hrs. | 21 | 27th April | 1600 hrs | BURT | The team were tasked to assist the Police evacuate the beach at Hunmanby Gap after approx 10,000 pills that were possibly harmful were washed up. Filey Coastguards also attended. The team stood down at 2200 as only Filey were required to stay on scene over night while test results were awaited. With thick fog and very poor visibility the team commenced a search and requested the launch of Scarborough ILB to assist. After a while searching Scarborough ILB located the jet ski, with no casualties, at mascus rocks. With the search continuing the coastguard team located the 2 casualties shortly after walking across rocks to the shore, shaken but safe and well. | 11 | 21st March | 1325 hrs | BURT | The team were called along with Burniston Coastguards and Rescue 128 to a female and a dog over the cliff near Burniston lookout. The teams arrived on scene, found the casualty, and lowered a cliff technician. The technician attached the female to him while R128 arrived on scene. The female was then switched to the helicopter winch and lifted to the top while the technician lowered to collect the dog. The team arrived on scene and the yacht, which had a snapped throttle cord, was towed to the harbour by another yacht while escorted by Scarborough ALB. Rescue 128 and Scarborough Lifeboat were also tasked. The team kept observations while the vessel was towed to Scarborough by the lifeboat. R128 was stood down as no longer required. After a short search the casualty was located on the beach near the Spa roundabout.
