109 30th December 1534 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a report of people in the water in difficulty near the East pier after going to sea in an inflatable dinghy in heavy seas. The team arrived on scene to find one youth had managed to swim ashore while the other youth was being assisted by a kayaker. The youth was helped from the water and placed on a stretcher before being airlifted to hospital by Rescue 128 for treatment. The team stood down at 1630 hrs.    
108 28th December 1536 hrs BURT The team were tasked to back up Filey coastguards to a report of a dog having fallen over the cliffs at Country Park in Filey. Filey ILB were also tasked to the incident while Sea King 128 who were training in the area offered their assistance. After being located the dog, a 2 year old german shepherd, was winched on a stretcher to the cliff top by helicopter. Unfortunately the dog had suffered multiple fatal injuries. The team stood down at 1700 hrs.    
107 23rd December 1527 hrs IRT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a male casualty who had fallen from a tractor and suffered a suspected broken leg, The male was transferred to A&E for treatment and the team stood down at 1700 hrs.    
106 17th December 1456 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a man walking into the sea in the South Bay. The team were stood down en route when they were informed the male was in Police custody. Scarborough ILB were also paged to the incident.    
105 16th December 1955 hrs IRT The team were tasked after a report from a member of the public who was concerned about an metal object on the North bay beach, believing it could be some kind of explosive. The team arrived on scene and located the item finding it to be an old beer keg. The team removed the keg and stood down at 2030 hrs.    
104 12th December 0027 hrs BURT The team were called to a report of a male who had fallen into the sea near the Spa complex. Scarborough ILB was also tasked. As the coastguard team arrived on scene the male's friends had managed to get him out of the water. The male was taken to hospital for a check up and all teams stood down at 0100 hrs.    
103 10th December 2250 hrs BURT The team were called to reports of a red flare fired in the South Bay area. The team arrived on scene and carried out a thorough search of the area. With nothing found and the flare being believed to be fired from inland it was put down as a false alarm with good intent. The team stood down at 0000 hrs.    
102 4th December 1527 hrs IRT The team were tasked to attend Scarborough Harbour and meet Scarborough Lifeboat who were towing a 36 foot vessel who had run out of fuel near the North East corner. The vessel was moored in the harbour and the team took details. The teams stood down at 1600 hrs.    
101 20th November 1821 hrs IRT The team were tasked after a report from a member of the public of a flare being sighted. After a search of the area, with nothing found, the report was believed to be a false alarm with good intent and the team stood down at 1915 hrs.    
100 18th November 1602 hrs IRT The team were tasked to a report of a possible person in the water near the Spa complex. Rescue 128 was diverted to the scene as they were in the area and carried out a thorough search of the area along with the coastguard team. With nothing sighted and it believed to be a false alarm with good intent all teams stood down at 1700 hrs.    
99 14th November 1047 hrs BURT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who was en route with a 72 year old male who had fallen at Ravenscar sustaining head injuries. The casualty was transferred to A&E for treatment and the team stood down at 1200 hrs.    
98 28th October 1454 hrs BURT The team were called to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet  R128 who were en route with a casualty from the bottom of cliffs at Robin Hoods Bay, unfortunately deceased. The team stood down at 1545 hrs.    
97 22nd October 1322 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a surfer in difficulty in Cayton Bay. The team arrived on scene and found the surfer had managed to get to the beach. Having swallowed water the surfer went to Scarborough Hospital for a check up. Scarborough Lifeboat and Rescue 128 were also scrambled to the incident but stood down en route. The coastguard team stood down at 1400 hrs.    
96 21st October 2027 hrs BURT The team were tasked after concerns were raised for the safety of a man from a yacht in Scarborough Harbour who had last been seen 5 hours earlier with his yacht currently unsecure. The team arrived on scene and commenced a search of the harbour while Scarborough ILB was being launched as the yacht was in the middle of the harbour. The ILB arrived on scene and the male was located inside his yacht safe and well. Both teams stood down at 2100 hrs.    
95 8th October 2156 hrs BURT The team were called to a lady who had fallen somewhere near the Sea Life Centre. The team commenced a search along with paramedics and found the lady had fallen approx 10 feet down from the cliff top path between Scalby Mills and Jacksons Bay. The lady was found to have back injuries and was placed on a spinal board for evacuation. Due to the location and injuries R128 was requested to airlift the casualty to Scarborough Hospital. The team stood down at 2347 hrs.    
94 4th October 1414 hrs BURT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a casualty from Filey. The female casualty had been thrown from her horse on Filey beach and was treated at the scene by a doctor were she was semi conscious and fitting. The casualty was transferred to A&E for treatment. The team stood down at 1519 hrs.    
93 4th October 0333 hrs BURT The team were tasked to search for a missing male in the Spa area who had possibly entered the water. The team were stood down shortly after when the male was located safe and well by his friends.    
92 28th September 1429 hrs BURT The team were tasked to 4 youths on a boat approx 400 yards from the East pier. 2 of the youths were reported to be in the water with 1 struggling and unable to return to the boat. Scarborough ILB was also paged but stood down when the youths had managed to make their way back to the harbour. The youths were given advice as they had no lifejackets or radio and were inadequately dressed. The team stood down at 1456 hrs.    
91 26th September 1625 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a report of 3 youths on the cliff near Scarborough Castle. The group were quickly located and had already made their way down the cliffs. Safety advice was given before the team stood down at 1700 hrs.    
90 23rd September 1954 hrs BURT The team were tasked to search for a missing 10 year old boy in the Scalby mills area. The team were stood down whole assembling as the boy was found safe and well by his family.    
89 18th September 1754 hrs IRT The team were tasked to keep observations on fishing vessel 'Sling your hook' which had broken down off the Spa. Scarborough ILB was launched to tow the vessel back to Scarborough Harbour. The team stood down at 1830 hrs.    
88 17th September 2119 hrs IRT The team were tasked to investigate reports of a red flare sighted over the North bay. The team spoke with the first informant and arrived on scene to find nothing visible in the area. With military aircraft in the area it is believed they were the cause of the sighting being a false alarm with good intent. The team stood down at 2204 hrs.    
87 16th September 0017 hrs BURT The team were tasked to assist the Police search for a missing 73 year old female from the Esplanade. With very little information a search was carried out from the Tollhouse to the Holbeck with nothing found. With no further information the team were stood down by the Police at 0224 hrs.    
86 15th September 1720 hrs BURT The team were called after a phone call was received from a person saying they had fallen over a cliff and were injured. The caller managed to state that he had set off from the sea life centre at 1300 hrs falling shortly afterwards leaving him unsure of his location and only able to see rocks and sea. At this point the battery on his mobile phone went flat. A search was carried out with the casualty being located at the cliff bottom between Scalby Mills and Jackson’s Bay with multiple injuries having fallen approximately 100 ft. Due to the casualty’s location and injuries the sea king helicopter from Leconfield was requested to airlift the male to hospital. On arrival at Scarborough hospital the casualty was taken to A&E where a trauma team assessed him for suspected head, rib and ankle injuries. The team stood down at 1910 hrs.    
85 14th September 2020 hrs IRT The team were tasked to investigate a report of white flashing lights in the Holbeck area. The team spoke to the first informant and did a search of the area finding two local fisherman who were safe and well. With it being a false alarm with good intent the team stood down at 2105 hrs.    
84 11th September 1914 hrs BURT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a male who had fallen into the sea. The casualty was transferred to A&E for a check up. The team stood down at 2003 hrs.    
83 9th September 1256 hrs IRT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who had been called to an RTC near Malton. The team were stood down en route as the casualties were being taken to James Cook hospital in Middlesborough by air ambulance due to the seriousness of their injuries.    
82 2nd September 1843 hrs IRT While at Inc 82 2 members of the team were tasked to the Sea Life Centre where a member of the public reported 2 people cut off on Mascus rocks. The team arrived to find it a false alarm with good intent. The casualties were actually canoeists who were safe and well. The team returned to inc 82 at 1908 hrs.    
81 2nd September 1627 hrs BURT The team were tasked to go and assist sea king 128 who had been forced to make an emergency landing in a school playing field due to a warning light being displayed. The team secured the area while engineers came out to investigate the problem. The team stood down at 2030 hrs when 128 was cleared to fly back to Leconfield for further investigation.   PHOTO
80 2nd September 1353 hrs BURT Tasked to a report of 4 children climbing cliffs near the castle. The team arrived on scene to find the youths had come off the cliffs. Advice was given before the team stood down at 1420 hrs.    
79 31st August 1905 hrs IRT The team were tasked to attend Scarborough harbour where the all weather lifeboat was en route with the fishing vessel Our Julia who had suffered engine problems 37 miles out to sea. After 3 hrs steaming then a 5 hr tow the vessel was safely moored in the harbour where a mechanic fixed the damage. The team stood down at 2018 hrs.   PHOTO
78 31st August 1614 hrs IRT The team were tasked to the North Bay to a report of a capsized kayak. The team arrived on scene to find the casualty approx 700 metres out to sea with a beach lifeguard on scene. Scarborough ILB was launched and recovered the kayaker, who could not swim, and the lifeguard before retuning them to the beach. Paramedics were called and treated the casualty for mild hypothermia. Safety advice was given to the kayaker. The team stood down at 1723 hrs.    
77 31st August 1309 hrs BURT While on routine duties Scarborough mobile were tasked to an the landing site at Scarborough hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a casualty who had fallen off the cliff path at Filey landing on a ledge. The casualty was transferred to A&E for treatment to a possible dislocated knee. As the helicopter had developed a technical problem Scarborough mobile transported the crew back to Leconfield to a spare helicopter while team members stayed at the hospital to secure the broken aircraft while the engineers arrived.    
76 30th August 1500 hrs IRT While on routine duties Scarborough mobile was tasked to a report of someone climbing the cliffs at Holbeck. The team arrived on scene and advice was given. The team resumed duties at 1530 hrs.    
75 29th August 1453 hrs BURT The team were tasked to attend Scarborough Harbour and meet the pleasure vessel Queensferry who had a passenger that was suffering seizures. The team and paramedics met the casualty and gave treatment before the casualty was rushed to hospital. The team transported another member of public to the hospital off the Queensferry for treatment after she suffered bites from the original casualty after trying to offer assistance. The team stood down at 1540 hrs.    
74 27th August 2259 hrs BURT While finishing with the previous incident them team were requested by the Police to immediately attend the Spa area where a male was missing and believed to be threatening suicide. As the team and Scarborough ILB arrived on scene the male was located by Police and moved to safety. The teams stood down at 2315 hrs.    
73 27th August 2234 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a report of an inflatable blowing to sea with 2 POB. The team arrived on scene and used a white illuminating flare to locate the casualties. Scarborough Inshore Lifeboat was also launched and picked up the casualties before dropping them off on the beach where advice was given. The team stood down at 2259 hrs.    
72 23rd August 1005 hrs IRT The team were tasked to meet the crew of 7 from a 30m fishing vessel who were being brought back to shore after their vessel had run aground at Horse rocks near Filey. It appeared that the skipper was under the influence of alcohol so the Police were called. After failing a breath test the skipper was arrested. The team stood down at 1145 hrs.   PHOTO
71 22nd August 1639 hrs BURT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a male casualty who had fallen while walking at Goathland suffering a suspected broken leg. The casualty was transferred to A&E for treatment and the team stood down at 1741 hrs.    
70 22nd August 1530 hrs IRT While on routine duties Scarborough Mobile was tasked to a report of a dog trapped in the rock armour at Holbeck. The team stood down at 1545 when the dog managed to free itself.    
69 19th August 1658 hrs BURT While returning from Inc 70 the team were diverted to a report of a missing child on the seafront at Filey. Following a search by the team, Filey coastguards and Filey ALB the 6 year old boy was located and reunited with his family. The team stood down at 1717 hrs.    
68 19th August 1539 hrs BURT The team were tasked to Hunmanby Gap to a report of a missing swimmer in the sea. The search also involved Filey coastguards, Filey ALB & ILB, R128, Police helicopter Oscar 99, a HM Customs boat and their inflatable rib. After an extensive search nothing was found with it being a FAGI. The team stood down at 1637 hrs.   PHOTO
67 19th August 1414 hrs BURT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a casualty from Flamborough who had a back injury. Whilst there, the team assisted the Air Ambulance who arrived with a male casualty from Dalby Forest who had been stung by a bee and suffered a serious allergic reaction. Both casualties were transferred to A&E for treatment. The team stood down at 1528 hrs.    
66 16th August 1100 hrs BURT The team were tasked to back up Filey coastguards with a report of 2 people over the cliff at Filey. The team arrived on scene and a cliff man was placed over the cliff and the casualties brought to safety. The team stood down at 1215 hrs.    
65 16th August 0157 hrs BURT The team was tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who was en route with 3 casualties from an incident at Robin Hoods Bay. The casualties were transferred to A&E for treatment. The team stood down at 0300 hrs.

The team were tasked to assist the Police search for a missing female near the Spa complex. As the team arrived on scene they were stood down as the person was located by Police.

   
63 13th August 1400 hrs IRT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a casualty. The team stood down at 1430 hrs.    
62 11th August 1418 hrs IRT The team were tasked to keep observations on a broken down vessel at Jackson's Bay. The team arrived on scene and provided communications while the vessel was towed to harbour by Scarborough Lifeboat. The team stood down at 1651 hrs.    
61 10th August 1332 hrs IRT

The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a casualty. The team stood down at 1357 hrs.

   
60 8th August 1527 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a report of a male trapped in a hole on the North Bay beach. The team arrived on scene and found the child to be stuck in the sand after digging a hole on the beach. The child was freed with the assistance of the Fire Brigade. The team stood down at 1553 hrs.    
59 3rd August 1300 hrs BURT The team were tasked to search for a missing child on the South Bay beach. While en route the child was found by lifeguards and reunited with family.    
58 26th July 0617 hrs BURT At 0617 hrs Scarborough and Filey coastguards were called to the Blue Dolphin holiday park after a dog had gone over the cliffs falling approx 150ft. A cliff technician was lowered down the cliff to locate the dog. Once located Filey inshore lifeboat was tasked to evacuate the dog to Filey coble landing where they were met by a vet who examined the dog before taking it to the surgery to be kept under observation.    
57 25th July 1326 hrs BURT The team were tasked to search for a missing child last seen in the water in the South Bay. the team were stood down en route when the child was found.    
56 25th July 1220 hrs IRT The team were asked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet Rescue 128 who was en route with a body from a cliff fall at Filey. The team stood down at 1300 hrs.    
55 25th July 0523 hrs BURT The team were tasked to assist the Ambulance service who had been called to a male casualty with chest pains who was on a boat in the middle of the East pier. The team arrived on scene and requested Scarborough ILB was launched to transport the casualty to the Golden Ball slipway where he was put in  the ambulance and taken to hospital. The team stood down at 0553 hrs.    
54 22nd July 1340 hrs IRT Scarborough Coastguards and Scarborough Inshore Lifeboat were called to an inflatable dinghy which was being blown out to sea in Cayton Bay. Both teams arrived on scene and the dinghy and its occupant, a 39 year old male from Wakefield, was picked up by the lifeboat. When back on safe land the occupant who was very shaken from his ordeal but unhurt was given safety advice by Coastguards after initially only intending to go 10 metres out. The team stood down at 1434 hrs.    
53 22nd July 1212 hrs BURT The team were tasked to assist the Ambulance service evacuate a female casualty who had fallen on rocks near the sea Life Centre. The team were stood down en route when the Ambulance crew managed to evacuate the casualty by themselves. The team stood down at 1220 hrs.    
52 21st July 1639 hrs IRT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital where Rescue 128 were en route with a 72 year old male casualty from a serious RTC at Whitby. The casualty was transferred to A&E with chest injuries. The team then remained at the landing site to assist the Air Ambulance who were en route with the man's 68 year old wife from the same accident. She was transferred to A&E for treatment to pelvic and leg injuries. The team stood down at 1807 hrs.    
51 19th July 2224 hrs IRT The team were tasked to assist the Police in the search for a missing 12 year old boy on the West pier. The team arrived to find that the boy had already been located and been reunited with his parents. The team stood down at 2243 hrs.    
50 19th July 1335 hrs IRT While out on routine duties the team were tasked to a report of a jet ski broken down on coffee pot corner. The team arrived on scene and kept observations while the jet ski was towed to the harbour by a local fishing boat where the team gave safety advice.    
49 19th July 1245 hrs IRT While on routine duties the team were tasked to meet Filey ALB who were towing the fishing vessel Magic into Scarborough Harbour after suffering engine problems. The team took casualty details before resuming routine duties.    
48 17th July 0110 hrs BURT The team were called to assist the Police in a search for a missing male believed to be suicidal and dangerous in the Scalby Mills area near the Sea Life Centre. The team arrived on scene  and while still liaising with the police inspector it was established that the male had been detained by a Police ARV near the railway station. The team stood down at 0150 hrs.    
47 16th July 1245 hrs BURT Scarborough and Burniston Coastguards were tasked to a report from the Ambulance service of a casualty who had fallen down cliffs at Scalby Lodge Farm, Scalby Ness. The 15 year old German male who is visiting Scarborough fell 100-150 feet suffering serious head injuries and was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary by Rescue 128. Rescue 128 was then re-tasked to the scene immediately as a female member of the party who found the male had suffered an ankle injury in the process. She was airlifted to Scarborough Hospital to receive treatment. Fortunately the male's injuries were later said to be 'not life threatening'. The team stood down at 1517 hrs.   PHOTO.

46 16th July 0923 hrs IRT The team were requested to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet Rescue helicopter 128 from Leconfield who were en route with a male who had fallen on rocks at Flamborough. The casualty was transferred to hospital to receive treatment for a badly broken ankle. The team stood down at 1016 hrs.    
45 16th July 0901 hrs BURT The team and Scarborough Inshore lifeboat were tasked to assist the ambulance service who had been called to a male who had fallen while working aboard a vessel in Scarborough Harbour. The casualty was placed onto a spinal board due to his injuries and taken to hospital by Ambulance. It is believed he has since been transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary where he is understood to be having surgery after suffering a suspected broken back and fractured skull. The team stood down at 0921 hrs.    
44 10th July 2153 hrs IRT The team were tasked after a report from the Police of 2 youths in the water fully clothed in the North Bay. The team arrived on scene to find the youths had been in drink. They were given strong safety advice stating the dangers of entering the water whist under the influence of alcohol. The team stood down at 2208 hrs.    
43 9th July 2023 hrs BURT The team were tasked after reports of 2 people being washed out to sea in heavy surf in the North Bay. The team arrived on scene to find that fortunately the 2 teenage boys had been washed back in leaving them shaken but unhurt. The team gave safety advice before standing down at 2056 hrs.    
42 8th July 1440 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a report that a member of the public had fallen out of the sea from an inflatable dinghy in quite heavy surf. The team were stood down at 1447 hrs while en route after it was established that the person was out of the water and safe and well.    
41 4th July 1919 hrs IRT The team were tasked to a report of an inflatable blowing to sea with 4 POB. The team arrived on scene and gave the people relevant safety advice. The team stood down at 1945 hrs.    
40 3rd July 2010 hrs IRT The team were tasked to concerns of a group of youths building a raft to go to sea near the lifeboat house in the South Bay. The team arrived on scene and gave the group safety advice. The team stood down at 2045 hrs.    
39 24th June 1914 hrs BURT The team and Scarborough ILB were tasked to assist an Ambulance crew who were dealing with a 15 year old male who had sustained a foot injury on the beach at Cayton bay. After assessing local access and the nature of the injury to the casualty it was decided that the most comfortable and quickest way to get the male further treatment was to transport him using the inshore lifeboat. The lifeboat took the casualty to the Golden Ball slipway in Scarborough Harbour where coastguards and Ambulance staff transferred him to the ambulance before he was taken to hospital. The team stood down at 2030 hrs.    
38 20th June 1311 hrs BURT While taking part in a multi agency exercise a 999 call was received by Humber Coastguard of 4 people in difficulty between holbeck and Cayton Bay. As Rescue helicopter 128 was already taking part in the exercise they were diverted to airlift the 4 people,2 who were cut off and 2 who had climbed the cliff. The casualties were landed at the old outdoor swimming pool where they were met by coastguards. All units resumed the exercise at 1345 hrs.    
37 18th June 1427 hrs IRT The team were tasked to a report of an inflatable being blown out to sea in the South Bay near the spa complex with 2 people on board. Scarborough ILB was launched and escorted the inflatable back to shore where they were given advice by the coastguard team. The team stood down at 1500 hrs.    
36 17th June 2246 hrs BURT The team were called to assist the Police in the search for a missing 13 year old male who was last seen paddling in the sea in the South Bay at approx 2000 hrs. Burniston Coastguard team and Scarborough's All weather and inshore lifeboats were paged as back up. A search was carried out by all teams covering from the lifeboat house to the spa. The search was called off when Police received confirmation that the male was safe and well at his home address in Malton after getting the train home. The team stood down at 2353 hrs.    
35 14th June 1837 hrs BURT The team were tasked after receiving a report of a family lost and stuck in the Knipe Point area. The team arrived on scene and the family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers were located safe and well. The team stood down at 1925 hrs.    
34 14th June 0501 hrs IRT The team were tasked to a report of a dinghy washed ashore on the South Bay. The team arrived on scene and established it had broken free from the harbour with nobody on board. A council tractor which was raking the beach dragged it up the beach clear of the water and arrangements were made for the owner to come and collect it. The team stood down at 0559 hrs.   PHOTO.
33 9th June 1900 hrs IRT The team were tasked to investigate reports of people tombstoning at Scalby Mills. On the way back from this incident the team were asked to investigate reports of people climbing the castle cliffs. Both these incidents resulted in nothing being found. The team stood down at 1929 hrs.    
32 7th June 1728 hrs IRT While out on routine duties Scarborough Mobile was tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough hospital and meet Rescue 128 who were en route with a 15 year old female who had fallen from a rope swing at Danes Dyke in Bridlington. R128 landed and the casualty was transferred to hospital for treatment. The team stood down at 1815 hrs.    
31 2nd June 1843 hrs BURT The team were tasked to assist the ambulance crew who had reported having a casualty gone over the cliffs and needed recovering at the Crown hotel on South Cliff. The team arrived on scene and established that the casualty was only approx 15ft over the edge. As the casualty was near a cliff path he was placed onto the coastguard stretcher and carried to the path where he was transferred onto the ambulance trolly and wheeled up the path. He was then taken to hospital for treatment. The team stood down at 1920 hrs.    
30 1st June 1850 hrs IRT The team were tasked to meet the Police and check on the safety of a suicidal Male in the South Cliff area. The male was located on cliff tops threatening to jump. He was talked round by Police officers and taken into Police custody. The team stood down at 1906 hrs.    
29 31st May 2252 hrs IRT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a male casualty who had been pulled from the sea in Filey. R128 landed and the casualty was taken to A&E for treatment. The team stood down at 2343 hrs.    
28 30th May 1536 hrs BURT The team were tasked to assist in the search for a missing 4 year old child on South Bay beach who had been missing for 30 minutes. As the team arrived on scene the child was found and reunited with her parents. While still on scene reports came in of a second child separated from her parents. Another search was carried out which escalated as another 2 children from the same family. Eventually all children and parents were found and reunited with the team standing down at 1620 hrs.    
27 28th May 1730 hrs BURT The team were tasked to back up Ravenscar coastguards after a dog had gone over the cliffs at Station Square in Ravenscar. The team were stood down at 1739 while en route after the dog managed to make his way back to the cliff top.    
26 27th May 1746 hrs BURT Scarborough coastguards were tasked to search for a missing child in the South Bay. After arriving on scene and joining the RNLI lifeguards the child was soon located in nearby amusement arcades and reunited with a relieved parent.    
25 27th May 1300 hrs BURT Scarborough, Burniston and Ravenscar coastguard teams were tasked after reports of a dog going over the cliff at the Raven Hall Hotel, Ravenscar.The teams arrived on scene and located the position of the dog approx 100ft at the cliff bottom near the hotel. A coastguard team was lowered down the cliff and after spending a short while trying to entice the dog to them managed to recover it and bring it back up the cliff to reunite it with its owner. The teams stood down at 1520 hrs.    
24 24th May 1500 hrs IRT While out on routine duties Scarborough Mobile was tasked to keep observations on a broken down vessel at Cayton Bay which was being towed back to the harbour by another boat. Once the vessel was safely moored in the harbour the team resumed routine duties.    
23 23rd May 0704 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a report from the Police that a boat had capsized in the North Bay with 3 People on board. Scarborough ILB was tasked to the incident to assist. When the team arrived on scene it was established that the 3 youths had managed to make their own way back to the beach and were being dealt with by the Police. all teams stood down at 0755 hrs.    
22 15th May 2221 hrs BURT The team were tasked after a member of the public reported seeing a red flare in the Knipe Point area. The team met the first informant and carried out a search of the area with Scarborough ALB launched to assist. With no more information and nothing sighted all teams were stood down at 0113 hrs.    
21 10th May 1430 hrs IRT While out on routine duties Scarborough Mobile was tasked by the ops room to investigate reports of a large whale on the beach near the lifeboat house. The team arrived on scene to find the whale was a dummy being used in a training exercise by the marine medics. The team resumed their duties shortly after.    
20 5th May 2144 hrs BURT Teams from Scarborough, Burniston and Ravenscar were called to reports of a dog having gone over the cliffs near Cloughton Wyke. The teams arrived on scene and carried out a search of both the cliff tops and bottom. The dog was located at the bottom of the cliffs at Sycarham near Little Cliff. A stretcher was used to carry out the 2 year old Golden Labrador along the bottom back to Cloughton Wyke where she was taken to a local vets for treatment. Fortunately it appears that ‘Amber’s’ fall was broken by the terrain when she suffered the drop of approx 100ft. Given the size of the fall she was lucky to escape with gashes to the body and head injuries. At the vet’s Amber was said to be quite poorly although it is hoped she will make a good recovery. The teams stood down at 0100 hrs.    
19 2nd May 1408 hrs IRT The team were tasked to keep observations and meet Scarborough Lifeboat in the harbour as they were towing a fishing vessel that had broken down with engine problems approx 6 miles from Scarborough. They boat was safely towed and moored in the Harbour on its berth.    
18 2nd May 1343 hrs IRT The team were tasked to investigate a report of a vessel in difficulty in the North Bay. The team arrived on scene and carried out a search of the area. The team stood down from this incident at 1406 hrs when nothing was found.    
17 1st May 1344 hrs BURT The team, backed up by coastguard’s from Burniston and Filey were tasked after a request from the Ambulance service after a female casualty had fallen over the cliff edge in her Mobility scooter at the Esplanade in Scarborough. The teams arrived on scene and due to the precarious position of the casualty a full cliff set up was carried out. Coastguard officers were lowered to the casualty and Paramedic where the casualty was placed in a harness before being hauled to safety. The casualty was then taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment. The team stood down at 1433 hrs.    
16 16th April 1916 hrs IRT The team were tasked to a report of a small boat ashore in the South Bay. The team arrived on scene and found a small tender from the outer harbour near the Spa Complex. The team dragged the tender out of the water and transported it back round to the Middle pier. The team stood down at 2003 hrs.   PHOTO
15 12th April 1338 hrs IRT While in Filey on a routine patrol Scarborough Mobile was tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet R128 who were en route with a female walker who had fallen at a remote location in Flamborough. The casualty was transferred to the Hospital where she was treated for a broken ankle. The mobile resumed routine duties at 1515 hrs.    
14 10th April 1853 hrs BURT Scarborough and Filey Coastguards along with Filey Inshore Lifeboat were tasked to a report of 2 dogs having going over cliffs at the Blue Dolphin Caravan Park suffering a fall of approx 300ft. The teams arrived on scene and a coastguard team was lowered down the cliffs to the dogs to find that, although injuries were suffered, they had managed to survive. The dogs and Coastguards were then taken back to Filey beach by the lifeboat before being taken to local vets for treatment where they were understood to be poorly.    
13 28th March 1552 hrs BURT The team were tasked along with coastguards from Ravenscar and Burniston to a 42 year old female who had collapsed in a remote location reportedly near the Hayburn Wyke Hotel. As the teams arrived on scene it was established that the casualty was actually at a place near Little Cliff - locally known as Roger Trod and paramedics on scene had managed to get her into the ambulance themselves. The teams stood down at 1625 hrs.    
12 24th March 1923 hrs IRT The team were tasked to investigate a light at Cayton Bay reported by a member of the public. The team arrived on scene and carried out a search of the area. The light was found to be from a fisherman who was stood in the waters edge who was actually safe and well. False alarm good intent. The team stood down at 2013.    
11 24th March 1018 hrs BURT The team were tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough hospital and meet Rescue 128 who was en route with a female casualty from an RTA at Sleights near Whitby. The casualty had left the road in her car, going over a ridge, and dropping 100ft. The casualty was winched from the scene and flown to the hospital where she was assessed and treated after a very lucky escape. The team stood down at 1237 hrs.    
10 22nd March 2000 hrs IRT The team were tasked to reports of a possible person in difficulty on an inflatable dinghy near the lifeboat station. The team arrived on scene and carried out a search of the area while also speaking to the Pier watchman. With nothing sighted and what seemed to be false contact details given by the first informant the call was believed to be a hoax. The team stood down at 2023 hrs.    
9 14th March 1722 hrs BURT The team were tasked to attend the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet rescue Helicopter 128 who was en route with a casualty. The team were stood down at 1733 hrs when it was established that the casualty had been transferred to an Ambulance and was being transferred to hospital by road.    
8 8th March 1245 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a report of a capsized catamaran in the South Bay in Scarborough with 2 persons on board. The team arrived on scene to keep observations while Scarborough Inshore and All Weather lifeboats were launched. A nearby yacht also went to the assistance of the catamaran and picked up the 2 casualties. The catamaran which was taking on water was towed back to the harbour by the lifeboat. The team stood down at 1400 hrs.    
7 7th March 0849 hrs IRT The team were called to attend the landing site at Scarborough Hospital where Rescue Helicopter 128 was en route with an 83 year old casualty who had fallen in a remote location at Whitby. The team met the helicopter and transferred the casualty to A&E where he received treatment for a suspected broken femur. The team stood down at 1018 hrs.    
6 5th March 0230 hrs BURT The team were tasked after a request from the Police to search for a 14 year old male who had been missing from home in the South side of Scarborough since 2200 hrs the previous evening. Rescue helicopter 128 from Leconfield was tasked to assist and an extensive search of the South side was carried out by both teams. At approx 0415 hrs the missing male was located sheltering in a stone building in the Italian gardens near the Esplanade by coastguard teams on foot. The casualty was found to be suffering from hypothermia and was taken to hospital by Ambulance for a check up. The team stood down at 0450 hrs.    
5 20th February 1706 hrs BURT The team were tasked to a report of a broken down vessel with 2 people on board in Scarborough whose exact location was unknown. The team arrived on scene and the vessel was quickly located approx 0.5 mile off the North East corner. Scarborough ILB was launched and towed the 20ft Cabin cruiser back to the harbour. The vessel, which had suffered engine failure due to electrical problems, was moored in the harbour where the crew were given relevant safety advice by Coastguards. The team stood down at 1830 hrs.    
4 10th February 1428 hrs BURT The team were tasked after the Police requested assistance in the search for a missing female in the Holbeck area. The team were stood down en route after the female was found by police officers.    
3 26th January 2024 hrs BURT The team were tasked to assist the Police in a search for a missing 83 year old male with an advanced state of dementia. The search involved coastguards, police, Scarborough mountain search and rescue and a police helicopter. With nothing found from their searches all units were stood down at approx 2330 hrs. The missing male was found at 0630 hrs the next morning wandering the streets but safe and well.    
2 16th January 1301 hrs IRT The team were tasked after a report from a member of the public of a small dinghy in difficulty. The team arrived on scene and after the dinghy had come very close to capsizing was washed onto the beach leaving the 2 POB unharmed. the owners were given safety advice before they put the dinghy back on its trailer. The team stood down at 1329 hrs.    
1 3rd January 1246 hrs BURT At 1246 hours this afternoon Scarborough and Burniston Coastguards were called to Sycarham Farm near Little Cliff in Cloughton after a dog had gone over the cliff. The team arrived on cene and located the dog before using cliff lines to go down the cliff to recover the dog.
