Inc 50 27th August 1305 hrs
While on patrol Scarborough mobile were tasked to flammable gas cylinder on the South bay near the lifeboat house. The Fire brigade were on scene and made the object safe.
Inc 49 25 August 0115 hrs BURT
Tasked to assist the Police search after a silent 999 call from the Cornelian Bay area. The area was searched by Coastguards and the Police with nothing being found. Believed to be a hoax call.

Tasked to a report of 2 swimmers in difficulty near the West Pier. The casualties had got out of the water before the team arrived.
Inc 47 21st August 1100 hrs IRT
Tasked to meet Scarborough lifeboat in the harbour who were towing back the boat ‘Silver line’ who had a broken fuel line.
Inc 46 17th August 1518 hrs BURT
Tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet Rescue 128 who were arriving after picking 3 casualties out of the sea at Bridlington and needed urgent Hospital treatment. Fortunately all 3 survived.

Tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital and meet Rescue 128 who was arriving with a male casualty.
Inc 44 13th August 1041 hrs BURT
Tasked to a report of a person stuck on the cliffs at Scarborough Castle. After meeting the Police we then relocated to Scarborough Spa to further information from the informant that the casualty was last seen in the water 4 hours ago. After a search of the area with the Police the first informant was found and eventually admitted making the hoax call. The male was then taken into Police custody. UPDATE The hoax caller was later charged by the Police and given a four month prison sentence.

While on the previous incident Scarborough mobile was diverted to the South bay pool after a report of wave dodgers. The mobile arrived on scene, gave advice and moved the people on.
Inc 42 12th August 1826 BURT
Tasked to a report of people in difficulty in the North Bay. The mobile arrived on scene to find the casualties had already made off. The Coastguard team and Scarborough lifeboat were requested to search the area to make sure there were no missing casualties due to the heavy seas. The coastguard then assisted the Police to close the Marine Drive to traffic due to breaking seas crashing over the wall onto the road.

Tasked to a report of wave dodgers at the old South bay pool area. The casualties had made off before the arrival of the team.
Inc 40 8th August 1614 hrs IRT
Tasked to a report of an air bed floating out to sea in the North Bay. On arrival the team discovered the object to be a large log. False alarm with good intent.
Inc 39 1st August 1645 hrs BURT
Tasked with a request from Ambulance control to assist with a cliff faller at Scalby Mills. On arrival the Ambulance crew had managed to get the casualty to the Ambulance.

Tasked to a broken down boat at the Holbeck area. Arriving on scene the casualty was located and towed back to harbour by Scarborough Harbour.

Tasked to a request from the Fire Brigade of a 77 year old man stuck on cliffs between the Spa and the Holbeck. The casualty was located and lowered down the cliff before going to Hospital for a check up.

Tasked with a request from Ambulance control to assist evacuate a casualty from the beach at Cayton Bay who had a broken leg. The casualty was carried to the Ambulance before going to Hospital.

Tasked to recover a deceased dog from the bottom of the cliffs at Holbeck.
Inc 34 20th July 1837 hrs BURT
Tasked to a report of a person going out to sea in a dinghy. This person ignored numerous calls to return, had no oars and was wearing only a bathing suit. The vessel MCA Hunter was in the harbour and was requested to launch their rib. When alongside the casualty again refused assistance. The casualty was eventually brought to the harbour and after jumping into the harbour, was recovered onto land and taken to hospital with Hypothermia and passed to the Police.

Tasked to a report from the Police requesting Coastguard assistance with 3 youths walking among the rock armour on the Marine Drive. The youths were recovered from the armour and given advice.

Tasked to a report of a person in the water off Vincent’s Pier. The casualty was already out of the water and with the Police when Scarborough mobile arrived.

Tasked to a report of a person in difficulty in the water in the North Bay. Council lifeguards rescued a child from the sea at the Corner Café.

Tasked after a request from Ambulance control to assist evacuate a casualty from the cliff top at Scalby Mills. The casualty was transferred to the Ambulance, then to hospital.

Tasked to a report of a distressed female on the cliff top at Cayton bay. The casualty was talked down and taken away by the Police.

Tasked to a report of youths on the cliffs at Scalby Mills. After arriving on scene the Coastguards spoke with members of the public who confirmed the youths had left the scene.

Tasked to a report of youths in difficulty in the South Bay. Coastguards liaised with the council lifeguards with nothing found. False alarm with good intent.

Tasked to a report of a small boat on rocks near the South Bay pool. The item was located and found to be a small dinghy and the item was removed by Coastguards.

While on route to the previous incident Scarborough mobile was diverted to a report from a member of the lifeboat crew of a report of an upturned jet ski. Scarborough mobile arrived on scene and the inshore lifeboat was launched. After arriving on scene the lifeboat found the object to be a plastic toy hippo.

Tasked to back up Filey Coastguards to a report of a person stuck on cliffs at Crow’s Nest. The casualty was walked to safety by Coastguards.

While out on patrol Scarborough mobile was tasked to a report of a broken down jet ski. The inshore lifeboat was launched to recover the jet ski.

Tasked to a report of a boat in difficulty in the North Bay. The area was searched with nothing found. False alarm with good intent.

Tasked to a report of a small boat unmanned near the Sea life centre. After searching the area a boat was found in Jackson’s Bay and found to belong to a local fisherman.

Tasked to a report of a missing 4 year old boy in the North Bay area. The area was searches resulting in the boy being found and reunited with his parents.

Tasked to a report from a member of the public of a large object in the water in the North Bay. The area was searched with the item found to be a large log.

Tasked to 4 youths in the sea on boards in the North Bay in heavy seas. The youths were located and given advice.

Tasked to a report of a person having jumped into the harbour. The area was searched by Coastguards and the inshore lifeboat with the casualty being found unconscious at the back of the lighthouse. An ambulance was called and the casualty was taken to hospital.

While on patrol Scarborough mobile was stopped by a lady reporting her 4 year old son missing in the North bay area. The coastguard commenced a search, located the boy and reunited him safe and well.

Tasked to a report of 2 people and a dog cut off by the tide at Cornelian Bay. The inshore lifeboat was requested and they recovered the casualties to a nearby slipway.

While on patrol Scarborough mobile was tasked to a report of an object, possible person, in the water near Corner Café. After speaking with the first informant the Coastguards searched the area and requested the inshore lifeboat to be launched. Nothing was found. False alarm with good intent.
Inc 11 16th March 0327 hrs BURT
Tasked to a report of a man threatening to jump into the sea from the lighthouse pier. The casualty was spoke to by the Police and decided to come away.

Tasked with a report from the Police of a missing suicidal female from the Cayton Bay caravan park. The area was searched and a body was located on the beach at the bottom of 200 foot cliffs in Cayton Bay. The body was recovered by Rescue 128 and taken to Scarborough Hospital.

Tasked to a report of a red flare sighted in Cayton Bay. The area was searched with nothing found. False alarm with good intent.
Inc 8 27th February 1435 hrs IRT
Tasked to man the landing site at Scarborough Hospital with Rescue 128 arriving with a body recovered from Reighton Gap. The casualty was believed to be from an incident in Flamborough 3 days earlier.

Tasked to a report of a person in the water near the Sea life centre. The coastguards searched the area and liaised with the Police. Nothing was found. Believed to be a hoax call.

Tasked to a report from Port control of a possible piece of ordinance on the beach at the Spa. The item was found to be an old piece of pipe.

Tasked after a silent 999 call to the Police which was tracked to Cornelian Bay. Scarborough coastguards were backed up by a team from Filey and after searching from Knipe point to the Holbeck along, with the Police helicopter, nothing was found.

Tasked to a broken down boat ‘Royal Jimmy’. Scarborough lifeboat was launched and towed the boat back to the harbour.
